Layered Quilled Paper Ornament of the Holy Family in a Stable Beneath a Shooting Star

Quilled Ornament That Tells the Nativity Story in Rolled Paper

The tree decor is mostly shiny, round and loud on the branches. A paper nativity tells a calmer and more traditional story in contrast. Hang it near the lights and enjoy the layered paper detail up close.

These rolled paper strips form the quilled scene on the face of this ornament. The Holy Family gathers in a stable under a shooting star. The design is flat, so it hangs neatly on a branch or wreath.

The ornament is 3.3 inches wide and 3.1 inches high, not counting the hanger. Thickness is about 0.24 inches, which keeps the profile flat. Yellow and metallic gold tones appear among the assorted colors used.

It can hang on a tree, a wreath or the top of a gift. It also works as a small present on its own. Plus, it lies flat in a drawer for storage until the next holiday season.
